Nonfiction Library and Gathering Sheet (Toys and Games)

Let's become All About Authors! Before we begin writing our own All About books, it's important for us to study nonfiction books by other All About authors 🥰 1. Open the Nonfiction Library and click each to read some nonfiction books on your Epic! account (you must have your Epic! logged in on your iPad already using your class code) 2. While you're reading, stop and think - what do you notice about these books? what did each author do while writing their book? what is this book teaching you all about? Once you're done reading each nonfiction Epic! book, it's time to gather some ideas for your All About books! Writers can gather ideas on what to write about by noting some toys or games they know all about! What toys or games are you an expert on? 3. Open up the next page of this assignment. This will be your "gathering sheet"! 4. Think about some toys or games you are an expert on! 5. Use the to draw a toy or game you know all about (or you can use the to take a picture of that toy or game if you can!) 6. Don't forget to LABEL your drawings or photos using the or the 7. Lastly, use the to tell me all about the toys and games you are an expert on! You can use this gathering sheet to help you with ideas on your future All About books. I can't wait to learn all about the toys or games you know all about!
