Select a nonfiction Just Right Book from Epic! (It's okay if you have a favorite nonfiction book at home). Read a section of a nonfiction book for no less than 15 minutes. Find the MAIN IDEA along with 3 SUPPORTING DETAILS for the section you read. Remember that sometimes a MAIN IDEA is already there in the form of a "POP OUT" sentence and sometimes you have to create it. Use the button to fill in the box and bullets attached to the activity. Then use the button to record your 30-60 second expert teaching. Don't just read the box and bullets- tell what you know from reading.
