Subjects: Art

Student Instructions

Use the pipe cleaners and beads that were sent home in the first supply bag to make some jewellery! You can attach two pipe cleaners together to make a longer necklace or make a bracelet. Maybe you want to make the pipe cleaner into a coil and make it into a brooch? Or cut the pipe cleaner to make a ring? The choice is yours! Maybe you don't want to make jewellery with. the pipe cleaner and beads and you have another idea. That is great, too!! I want to see what you want to create! Think of what you'd like to create and start creating with beads and pipe cleaners! Try to take some photos during the creation process and a photo of what you have made at the end. Share the photos to your "HOW I EXPRESS MYSELF PORTFOLIO" The "HOW I EXPRESS MYSELF PORTFOLIO" was shared last week as an activity on Seesaw ***Supporting adults - remember how the end product looks is NOT IMPORTANT. It is the PROCESS OF CREATION that the focus should be on. So, allow your child to think of an idea and let them create it. DO NOT MAKE IT FOR THEM! We are not looking for perfection. In the classroom, we may them some suggestions and ideas, but we certainly would not do it for them. Thanks for your supporting with this!*** Learning Intentions: To demonstrate creativity To develop fine motor skills To demonstrate independence
