Shape Hunt

Look for geometric shapes in your home like, circles, squares and rectangles. 1. 👀 Look around. See what shapes you notice. 2. Tap the add button. 3. Take a photo of some of the shapes you found. 4. Pick a drawing tool to outline the shapes in your photo. 5. Tap the microphone to record yourself naming and describing the shapes you found. For example: "This is a square. It has four, straight sides." 6. Tap the green check to add to your journal. 👨‍👧 Family Why: Recognizing and understanding the characteristics of different shapes builds visual and spatial skills. Shapes help us categorize and describe objects around us. They are important building blocks for geometry and many careers like engineering and architecture.
