Term ______ Writing Reflection After looking at my Seesaw posts during Term ______ I noticed that I need to work on checking my work. I am doing a great job using capital letters where they need to be. I'd give myself a 3. I need to do a better job remembering my ending punctuation. I'd give myself a 2. My writing is clear and I use strong words to get my message across. I'd give myself a 3.5. My spelling is okay. I do not consistently spell words correctly. I could improve. I'd give myself a 2. My goal for Term 3 is to make sure I edit my work carefully before I submit my posts. I will also have a friend look over my work to help me with editing.

Student Instructions

For this reflection, I would like you to start by looking through your portfolio folders. Take a look at the most recent posts (from _________ on). Pay close attention to your message -- Is it written clearly so it's easily understood? Did you use complete sentences? Pay close attention to your mechanics -- Did you start sentences with capital letters? Did you use ending punctuation? Pay close attention to your spelling -- Did you spell your "everyday" type words correctly? How about spelling with more difficult words? Using your rubric found in your Spelling unit packet, give yourself an overall set of scores for your most recent posts. Did you meet expectations for these standards? I spell grade-appropriate words correctly, consulting references as needed. I use correct capitalization. I choose accurate punctuation and can use punctuation for effect. I carefully choose words and phrases to convey ideas precisely and clearly. Finally, think of a goal for Term __.
