MUSIC: Music from the Presidential Inauguration: Star Spangled Banner

Dear Music Makers, On Tuesday, January 20th, our new president, Joseph Biden, and Vice President, Kalama Harris, were sworn into office. This happens every four years, after the people of United States hold an election and vote for who they want to lead the country. This event is called an inauguration. There were many musical performances at the inauguration. Today's lesson will focus on one of these songs, which is our National Anthem. It is called the Star Spangled Banner. 1: Touch number one to open a recording of Lady Gaga singing the "Star Spangled Banner." 2: Touch number two to open the quaver book about the Star Spangled Banner. You may choose "Basic" or "Advanced," and I encourage you to try the advanced! Be sure to click on the listening examples and other links in the QuaverBook! 3: Sing along and/or read along with Quaver Music's version of the Star Spangled Banner. 4 and 5 Have fun with information and images from the QuaverBook. You may play both "matching" and do the puzzle! Time your self and upgrade to harder levels too! When you are done with today's lesson, go to "Add Response". You will answer two questions that you learned in the Quaver Book about the Star Spangled Banner. Go back to the Quaver Book if you need help! Have fun! Ms. Shelton (OGE) and Mr. Scyler (HC)
