Spark Lab: Shapes in Nature (K)

Some people are surprised by how many shapes you can find in nature! Use a camera or draw examples of squares, triangles and circles that you have spotted. <---- Watch the video to the left if you need some ideas or want to see some other shapes to find! 1. Tap button to get to the shapes template. 2. Use the tool to take pictures of shapes you find. 3. Use the tool to trace the shapes in your pictures. *Bonus Activity* I learned about an amazing hidden shape when I was planning this activity. Did you know that there is a beautiful star shape inside the small branches of cottonwood trees? The Dakota Native Americans tell a story of how the star shape came to be inside these trees.
