Teachers, save “Area of irregular shapes” to assign it to your class.

1. Using the Geoboard Manipulative create an irregular shape using 2 different colored rectangles/squares of any size. 2. Label the width and length of both rectangles using 2 different pen colors. 3. Write the problem sentence to solve for the area of each rectangle (look at my example as a guide) and write the answer in the center of the rectangle. 4. Add a of your work to the activity.
