Student Instructions

Learning Objective: To write a short biography. So you aren't famous yet (...maybe you're secretly famous...?!) but many people who have lived unusual or interesting lives will write about their experiences in a biographical format. This is called an autobiography. I know that this kind of text written by the person themselves is called an 'autobiography'... However many people write about their lives in a biographical way. I want you to write about your life as if you were someone else recording it! This means you'll use the 3rd person (he/she/they). 1) Use a spare bit of paper to brainstorm about yourself. Topics to consider: - birth and early years - recent life - notable events - interesting facts or anecdotes - photograph - achievements / disappointments - aims and hopes 2) Now it's time to write your biography! Look at the checklist to remind yourself what features you might need. You can look at / use the support template on Page 3 if you need some help getting started. 3) Check your work against the checklist and look carefully for spelling, punctuation and grammar. 4) Submit to be checked by your teacher.
