This is practice mat that be used in a variety of ways to build math thinking. We use this as a daily way to build the number of the day, track days we have been in class, review concepts such as building teens, adding on, place value, etc. Tips/Suggestions: Daily Practice: I place this in a folder called Quick Practice so we can find it easily each day rather than scrolling through our journal feed. We save it each time as a draft. Support, Differentiation, Small Group: I make copies of the activity, rename it and tailor for student's needs.
