Mary Blair’s Disney Inspired Castles ***Part 1 of 3***

Mary Blair was a Disney artist, who contributed to many classic Disney films. Her artwork is prominent in Cinderella, Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland and others. Blair is best known for her efforts in the classic Disney ride, “It’s a Small World.” She is credited with helping create the concept art for the ride, and her unique sense of color. Blair used simple lines and shapes, combined with striking colors to create her architecture. This is a THREE week project. Today we will do week one. Week One: 1. Look at the images provided of Mary Blair’s work. 2. Watch either one of the videos about Mary Blair. They were both great! I couldn’t decide which one to share! 3. Type me a note about something you learned about Mary Blair. We’ll be drawing next week. Let’s stop here for today.
