βSummary: This is a 2 part activity that incorporates creating a self portrait with the Doodle app and app-smashing the final product with Seesaw! π There are 2 digital books from Unite for Literacy that pair perfectly with this activity. π Parts of Me: https://www.uniteforliteracy.com/unite/healthyme/book?BookId=119&shr=1&LangId=spa π I Love Me!: https://www.uniteforliteracy.com/unite/feelings/book?BookId=1482&shr=1&LangId=spa 1οΈβ£ Part 1: students will use the Doodle app to create a self-portrait. They should take a screenshot of the image to save it to the camera roll. π«*We are doing a screenshot because the Doodle app free version does not allow for saving/importing. If you have the premium version, simply save to the camera roll.* 2οΈβ£ Part 2: App-smashing with Seesaw! Now students will upload their Doodle image from their camera roll, use the camera to take a selfie (so the images are side-by-side) and use the screen record and pointer arrow to point out their features. They should use the pointer as they talk and point out things like the color of their hair and eyes, where to see their nose, ears and mouth, etc. See the example on page 2 of the multimedia examples. π©Helpful poster from Seesaw about uploading from any project from the camera roll that you can print for your students: πhttps://drive.google.com/file/d/1F3fArX4u1iTiFJgBkoS9R3KsMWCVxJL2/view?usp=drive_link πWhile Doodle and Seesaw both have screen recording features, Seesaw has the added benefit of having a pointer tool for students to move as they point out specific things during the retelling or sharing.
