Teacher Notes (not visible to students)

IPICK is a way for our learners to self-evaluate a text to determine if a book is a "good fit." This activity helps guide our learners through the process of evaluating a book. It empowers our students to capture their right-now good fit books, and creates an archive of previously examined books to return to in the future. This activity is part of a larger classroom literacy conversation. When students post their IPICK reflection, classmates may see it. It is important to incorporate respectfulness, kindness, and encouragement with our diverse readers. You know your class and can determine if this activity is right for your learners. Remember, you can edit the student instructions to better meet the specific needs of the learner. If you'd like an editable copy of this template... have at it! http://bit.ly/SeesawActIPICKtemp
