Student Instructions
Read this book at least two days in a row. By the third day, you should be very accurate and sound very fluent (reading smoothly, like talking).
Click on the picture of the title page to begin to read the book.
Read each page to your parent, babysitter, or an older sibling - if you get stuck on a word, try to make the sounds in the word - if you can’t work it out, your helper can tell you the word after you’ve had a try at it.
After you read each page, your helper can ask you the questions at the bottom of each page and talk about those with you.
When you have read the book two or three times, do the activity template (with a recording
) so I can hear how you sound as you read!
OPTIONAL: follow-up task: choose one:
a)
On paper or in your writing book, write a short story about a dog that you know. You can then share this with me by pushing
the new post button and taking a
photo or making a
video recording in which you can read the story out.
b) What are three things I should be doing to look after my dog? Add a
note and write three ideas for me.
