Brainstorming Writing Ideas!

Grades: 4th Grade
Subjects: Writing

Student Instructions

When preparing to write anything (a fantasy story, personal memory, opinion essay, or informational book) the writer must always PRE-WRITE! 1. Decide the reason for your writing. Do you, as the author, want to persuade your audience? Are you looking to entertain the reader? Or are you interested in sharing information? 2. Think about different topics you are interested in! What would you enjoy writing about? Do you know a lot about a specific thing? Or do you want to research or create something new? 3. Write down any and all ideas! Use bullet points, graphic organizers or just jot down sentences as they come to mind!
