LI: I am learning to read a selected text during read to self. SC: I can read a chosen text throughout a period of time. I can explain the main parts of a story. I can make connections to myself and to another text. I can form predictions beyond the text. I can identify new or unfamiliar words. I can critique a story. 1. On page 1, add a photo of your book. 2. On page 2, list label the characters in the story. 3. On page 3, list label 3 words to describe a character. Then, use the mic to explain what the authors message is. 4. On page 4, identify pencil the setting/s in the story. 5. On page 5, explain mic the problem and solution in the story. 6. On page 6, tell mic the main idea of the story. 7. On page 7, make a mic text to self and text to text connection. 8. On page 8, predict mic what could happen next. 9. On page 9, select a page photo and read it with expression. 10. On page 10, note down label the words you found unfamiliar or new. 11. On page 11, critique mic the text you read.
