Quick! Think of a scientist doing something scientific...the first thing that comes to mind... When middle school students are given this assignment, their responses are too often the stereotypical ideas discussed in this video. Let's break those stereotypes! If there is no overlap between how students see their future selves and how they picture a scientist, they are unlikely to aspire to become one. What is a Scientist?
