Learning Intention: We are learning to add numbers Success Criteria: I can use materials to help me add numbers together Have a look at the ideas for number stories about shopping Now we are going to create a think board to show our thinking about shopping This time we will make think boards using numbers above 10 The think board has 4 parts - 1. Story - Write a sentence "I went to buy 20 apples and 4 carrots so that is 24" 2. Pictures - Draw 20 small apples and 4 small carrots 3. Objects - Draw 20 green blocks and 4 blue blocks 4. Number sentence - 20 + 4 is 24 - Make your own think board with your own number story about shopping - You can use your book or if possible you can print the blank think board - All 4 parts need to be finished photo: take a photo mic explain the 4 parts of your think board check check check
