Student Instructions

Many churches and mosques in Malaysia have beautiful stained glassed windows that are formed from geometric shapes! You can watch a time lapse video of a stained glass flower on the link attached to the activity! Then, follow these instructions to create your own. It is best to use grid paper but if you don't have grid paper, you can use the shape maker website (https://apps.mathlearningcenter.org/pattern-shapes/) to make a digital stained glass art piece. You can copy and paste it into your browser. 1. Use your ruler (if you don't have one, try your best) to make different types of lines: parallel, perpendicular and intersecting. 2. Form angles to then make different types of triangles and quadrilaterals we have learned about! 3. Include different triangles: Obtuse, Acute and Right, Isosceles, Scalene, Equilateral 4. Include different quadrilaterals: Parallelograms, Trapezoids, Rectangles, Rhombus, Squares 5. You may use colored pencils, crayons or markers if you have it at home. 6. Upload your stain glass art to this assignment!
