Student Instructions

It's Friday Fun Day, so let's let loose and read in a whole new way! Have fun with creating a rhythm, song, or rap with your favorite book or poem! A rap is a music style in which you say the words in a rhythmic way usually over a recorded beat. It works well with stories or poems that rhyme, but you can try it with any story or poem you wish! 1. Tap the link to listen to an example of a rap with Fox in Sox by Dr. Seuss. 2. Find a book or poem you would like to read with a rhythm, rap, or sing it as a song. If you'd like to get really creative, mix in sounds and beats from a music app like Garage Band or others. 3. Practice your story a few times. 4. Tap add to make a recording with mic or video tools. 5. Listen to your recording check and then check to post it to your journal. Have fun with it!
