Student Instructions

Choose one of your small moment stories that you have written to create a rehearsal. This is when you practice reading your writing out loud. When we do this work we see how we can improve our writing and read our writing with expression. To make our writing the best it can be we try different strategies to raise the level of our work. Today you will practice reading your story several times. Each time you read it out loud find something that you can change or add to make it better. Be sure your small moment is focused and not a play by play of your day. Use your knowledge of creating a mental movie for your reader by using your thoughts, emotions, dialogue, and descriptive words in your writing. Finally after you have read it and made improvements 3 times, I want you to record video your final rehearsal.
