Teachers, save “Splitting Four Puzzle” to assign it to your class.

Click on the button. In the section you will find 10 four letter words. Each of these words are to be split in half. Place the first half in the front and the second half at the end of the letters in the grid to form eight letter words. One of the four letter words won't be used. Can you work out which word it is? Use the tool to write the missing letters into the grids. Change the colour of the four letter words that you use so you can keep track of what you have used. There is an example for you to see how it is done. When you are finished use the tool to circle the word that hasn't been used to solve the puzzle. Click on the button to add your work to your journal.
