Teachers, save “Non-Fiction Research” to assign it to your class.

1. Read your non- fiction text about an animal. 2. Re-read the text and find key words that teach you about your topic. Write them on sticky notes and keep them in your book where you found them. 3. Collect the sticky notes that answer your questions: (Example: What is a spider? KEY WORD- arachnid) 3. Use the label tool to type in the key words you found and sort them into the correct categories. 4. Record your voice telling what you've learned about your animal using complete sentences. 5. Click the green button to add to your journal.
