Overview: Grades 3-4 In this Activity students have to evaluate a problem and decide whether the teacher solved the problem correctly or not. This promotes flexibility in problem solving and develops students’ persistence which promotes a mathematical mindset. **Modify this activity for k-2 by changing the numbers to single digit numbers to ten and using shapes to draw out the problem. (Example: 3+7=9, Include 3 drawing of 3 circles and 7 squares) How to use this activity: This Activity can be used for independent practice after a whole class lesson on algebraic thinking. Students can choose to use paper and pencil to solve the problem and then use the camera tool to capture their work in Seesaw.
