Year 3 - Literacy - Imagining and describing fictional creatures

In Chapter 16 of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (listen on the Student Announcements page) Roald Dahl describes some fictional creatures that live in Loompaland. "Nothing but thick jungles infested by the most dangerous beasts in the world - horswogglers and snozzwangers and those terrible wicked whangdooodles." I would like you to choose one of these creatures and draw it as you imagine it in your head. Then using your best describing skills, using adjectives and super sentences tell me what it looks like. You could include details or facts about it, such as it's habitat and it's behaviour too! 1. Press the button. 2. On paper draw a horswoggler, snozzwanger or a whangdooodle, take a and upload it to seesaw. 3. Using the tool or in your books describe the creature you have made. Remember to use adjectives, similes and other super sentences. 4. If you want tell me your favourite bit about your creature. 5. Press to finish. Happy imagining!
