Student Instructions
1. Click 2. Read the Guiding Question and follow directions to learn something new. 3. Click the Next button to go to page 2. 4. Complete the colored Learning Blocks. 5. Complete the Show What You Know and Reflect Blocks. 6. Click Draft to save your work as you go. 7. Click the Check when your Block Board is complete to send it to your teacher. Family Why: Students interact with numbers constantly, both inside and outside of the classroom. Understanding place value gives meaning to the numbers they see everyday. Developing an understanding of place value adds meaning to numbers. For example, place value helps students understand that 300 is greater than 290, or that 455 and 545 are not the same numbers.
