Instructions for Pupils
1. Make a pattern.
2. Tap the 
icon to pick up and move the circles to make your pattern.
3. Make sure that your pattern is a repeating pattern.
4. Read your pattern out loud to make sure it is correct.
5. Translate the pattern by using the letters at the bottom of the page. Tap the icon to move the letters under your caterpillar.
6. Tap the 
to explain why you think it is a pattern.
7. Tap the green 
to submit to your journal.

Go over how to pick up and slide items over, model for students. Explain that they do no have to use all of the shapes or letters.
