Student Instructions


1. Choose something to graph with approximately 8-12 items e.g buttons of different colours, a handful of LEGO pieces, or a container of toy cars 2. Talk about the similarities and differences in your collection. Perhaps you have some items with the same colour, type or size. 3. Group your items according to one category of your choice. E.g. make piles of each colour, or match them into groups of the same size. 4. Make a tally of the number of objects in each category. 5. Draw a graph using a simple symbol and columns for each category. 6. Please photograph your collection and graph. You may add a voice recording explaining your graph.
