Teacher Notes (not visible to students)
This activity helps students identify six types of simple machines and connect them to everyday tools. Use the linked games for extra practice during centers. No special materials are needed except classroom objects for the partner activity (paper, string, small wooden ruler, toy wheel). High-quality open-ended answers explain thinking in full sentences and use examples or a drawing to show understanding. For the paragraph response, look for clear reasons, named simple machines, and at least one real-life example. For multimedia Show It, expect a labeled photo, short video explanation, or a drawing with labels that show how the simple machine helps.
