March Book Madness — Your Own Personal Bracket and Champion!

Grades: 2nd Grade, 3rd Grade, 4th Grade
Subjects: English Language Arts

Student Instructions

Please complete your own bracket to show your personal choices and champion. 1. Type each winning title in a text box, then resize it to fit into the bracket. 2. Add a text box at the top of the bracket for your name (see my example). 3. Type a CAPTION written in COMPLETE SENTENCES that: • tells the TITLE of your winner (for example, "I chose ________________ as the March Book Madness Champion..."). • tells at least 3 REASONS that this book was your favorite. • includes something about the THEME of "Brave and Bold." • is proofread out loud to make sure it says exactly what you think it says! • is edited for capital letters, punctuation, and spelling. 4. RECORD yourself reading your caption before you submit your response. Please go to a private space to make this recording so you can read FLUENTLY and LOUDLY enough that you are easy to hear! Mrs. Hinkle's example is attached as a model for your work.
