Predicting with Nonfiction Text Features

Student Instructions

photo 1) Take a photo of a text feature in a nonfiction book of your choice. (Remember, text features include all parts of a story or article that are not the main body of text. These include the table of contents, index, glossary, headings, bold words, sidebars, pictures and captions, and labeled diagrams.) drawing 2) Use the draw tool to highlight the text feature you chose. caption 3) Write a short caption for your photo describing your text feature and a prediction you made about the text from that text feature. Record your voice with how it helps you understand the topic better. check 4) Tap the check and add to your journal.
