Our first task is to open and personalise the first page of our Pupil Journal. Let’s use the camera to add a selfie and the text tool to our name.
Page 2:
On page two, you’ll read and decide which statements correctly explain what data is and what a sensor is. Then use the pen tool to circle the correct description for each. Then, as a class, we can discuss the answer.
Page 3:
On the third page, you will see three fitness-tracking watches. On the screens, you will see they are logging/recording different types of data. Can you tell what data is being recorded, then label them correctly using the text tool?

Next, we will take on the role of a Product Designer as we design our own smart fitness sweatshirt. Use the pen tools, explore different colours, and add shapes and emojis to bring your design to life.
Include 3 smart features and match each to a sensor or data type (e.g. light sensor for reflective safety at night, movement/steps for activity, temperature for comfort, sound level for “quiet focus mode” in school).
