This week we have been learning about the structural features and poetic devices in children’s poems. 1. Record yourself reading the poem and answer the following questions: - What is the structure of this poem? - What poetic devices does the poet use? - What is the purpose of this poem? - How does the structure suit the purpose of the poem. - Do you like the poem? Why? 2. Use the label feature to identify the rhyming pattern (eg. AABB or ABAB etc.) 4. How does the illustration add to the poem?
