Spelling with the Final /k/ Rule

Use your knowledge of the final /k/ rule to finish spelling each word. You may type the missing letters or write them neatly. Remember: If a word has a short vowel and you hear the /k/ sound at the end, use -ck If a word has a long vowel and you hear the /k/ sound at the end, use -ke If a word has a two-letter vowel combination and you hear the /k/ sound at the end, use -k If a word has two or more syllables and you hear the /k/ sound at the end, use -c If you need help, reference the chart on the third slide.
