βSummary: After listening to the digital book from Unite for Literacy about playing on the playground, teachers can display the activity on an interactive board and engage students by asking, "What do you most like to do on the playground?". Invite students to come up to the board and use the drawing tools or shapes to mark their choice. When all students have made their choice, count the number of marks in each row. On page two, students can record themselves saying how many students liked the slide, swings, climber and merry-go-round. π Digital Book Link: https://www.uniteforliteracy.com/unite/friends/book?BookId=82&shr=1&LangId=0 π Key Vocabulary: choose, choice, vote, playground, slide, climber, swings, merrry-go-round βThis is a supplemental activity that can be used in conjunction with your district curriculum. βThis activity is best used whole group on an interactive board where students come up and manipulate the objects in the activity or on individual devices in focused small groups or individually (especially for any voice or screen recording/video activities).
