Acting out Verbs

Grades: Kindergarten
Subjects: English Language Arts

Student Instructions

A verb is a word used to describe movement or action. We call them "action" words. A sentence is not complete without a verb. Some examples are sit, run, jump and dance. Some sentence examples are I can sit on the carpet. The tiger can run in the jungle. Watch the Schoolhouse Verbs video and act out some of the verbs. Then take a video of yourself acting out some action words. Don’t forget to tell us what action word you are acting out. Click the green button to add the video to your journal.
