Teachers, save “Measuring with a ruler cm and mm” to assign it to your class.

You will need a ruler or tape measure; at least 6 items - small enough to hold - from around your home. Layout your items in size order - smallest to biggest. Take a photo of the whole group or a photo of each item on its own. Measure the length of each item with a ruler carefully, write the measurement down and remember to use “cm” after each measure. Go back to Seesaw and click Upload your photos and reorder them in size order on the screen. Use the tool to record the measurements in cm. CHALLENGE: can you also record the measurement in mm?
