Poetry Jot Reflections

Select TWO of your best examples of poetry jots from this unit so far. You may take a picture and post a caption or just use the note. Type out ONE of your full jots, including the title of the poem and poet's name, and the prompts/questions you answered. Add a short reflection explaining why you think this is your best work. You may include reasons from the scoring rubric. I can explain the structure of a poem-- describing the number of stanzas, lines per stanza, rhyming pattern and/or other choices that the poet made for the structure of this poem. I can determine mood in a poem---naming a mood or feeling from the poem and explaining why certain words or phrases that make me think that. I can infer deeper meaning in a poem--identifying an inference or a reasonable idea about life in the poem and explaining my thinking in a way that makes sense to others.
