Student Instructions
We have been learning about Henri Matisse and his fauvist style of art. Today we will learn how different types of lines and shapes work together to create various forms. We will be creating our own "Goldfish" painting! This week we will draw our pictures, and next week we will discuss mixed-media for coloring and decorating our drawings. 1. Please watch the video attached about Henri Matisse, his fauvist style of art and how he uses simple lines and shapes to create form. 2. Pay close attention to the demonstration part of the video. Use different types of lines and shapes to create a Matisse inspired fish bowl painting. Remember- you are the artist! Feel free to adjust and modify the plants and fish to the way you would like them to look. 3. Use only pencil today. Next week we will explore a variety of tools to color our drawings! 4. When you are finished, please upload your drawing to Seesaw. Have fun! Mrs. Lukes
