You need to be answering the following questions: 1) What is the social group that is being presented? 2) What are the 5 w's? 3) How are audiences POSITIONED to view the topic? (e.g- negative or positively- feel empathy/sympathetic/sorry/angry etc) 4) What LANGUAGE helps audiences feel this way? 5) Where was this language used in the article? WHY was it placed there? 6) What language features were used throughout this? 7) How have the images added to the story? 8) Do you agree with this representation of this social group? Once you have done this- you need to write a paragraph explaining how the social group has been presented and whether or not you agree with this representation.
