Mindful Recess: Root to Rise

If we rise without rooting, we lose our ability to stay supported while being fearless as we try new or difficult things. If we simply root and stay in one place we never know the possibilities or experiences that are awaiting us. Along our center is the guide that supports us and keeps us in balance. During this fun mindful recess you will get to explore what it feels like to root and rise and what it feels like to use one without the other! Instructions: 1. Click on the link and join Mary for a short mindful recess - Root to Rise. 2. Click add and use the pencil or mic to complete all four Mindful Journal pages. 3. Make sure to press the play button on each mindful journal page to listen for the instructions. 4. Once complete press the check to submit.

This moving meditation is to help children visualize the practice of rooting in order to rise. We root to ground, to find strength. We rise as we become heartful, kind to ourselves, others and the world around us.
