This activity helps first graders identify nouns, adjectives, and verbs using Christmas-themed words. Use the matching and sorting pages for quick checks. The drag-and-drop assessment is auto-graded. For the partner activity, prepare paper and crayons or a whiteboard. Give students 5–10 minutes for the multimedia Show It task. High-quality open-ended responses will clearly show the student’s choice of words and labels. For the Show It multimedia task, a strong answer includes at least three items labeled correctly (noun/adjective/verb) and a short spoken or written sentence using one of the words. For the Pair and Share recording, a correct submission shows both partners speaking or drawing and each labeling at least one word correctly.
