Student Instructions
We have been reading a book in our reading group.
1. 
Add the activity to your journal.
2. 
On page 1, take a photo of the book cover. 
Tell about the book and share some of your thinking.
3. On page 2, open your book and take a good picture of two of the pages. Read the text on the two pages. Remember to read all of the words, and use expression!
4.

I ask students to complete this activity after we have read the book and discussed it in our book group. It’s a way for families to see the books their children are reading at their instructional levels, and it shows their comprehension, accuracy, and fluency with a familiar text.
