Student Instructions

1. Click on add button. 2. Roll a dice or use number cards to make a 2 or 3-digit addition problem, ex. 382 + 219 = ? 3. Click on label. Type in your estimate number model for your problem. move Move your estimate text box into the space provided. 4. Solve the problem using Partial Sums. You can use your SmartPal or a whiteboard. 5. Click photo tool. Take a picture of your problem. move Move your picture and resize it to fit. 5. Think about how you are going to explain your math work. You want to tell me the steps you completed to solve the problem using Partial Sums. Rehearse what you want to say. 6. Tap on mic to begin recording. Use the arrow to point out each step as you explain your math thinking step by step. Press pause as needed. 7. Listen to your recording. Make sure it says and shows what you expect. 8. Press check when done.
