Student Instructions

As you are reading, look for a passage in your book where the author uses precise language to describe the setting. What is the mood or atmosphere of the setting? What words used by the author create the mood? Take a photo of the passage. Add a label describing the mood. label Add the title and author of the book. label Use the pen drawing to underline the specific words in the passage that create the mood. Explain your thinking by recording rec or writing caption your thoughts. Press check to add to your journal.
