Onomatopoeia is when a word describes a sound and actually mimics the sound of the object or action it refers to when it is spoken. For example - PLOP! Writers use onomatopoeia to bring a story or poem to life in the reader's head. To begin, watch the two link to the left. 1. Onomatopoeia 2. Art Activity Task You will need paper, a pencil, rubber and textas. - Follow the Art Activity video, pausing as needed - Use the word PLOP, for the artwork - When the art work is finished press add - Take a photo and tell mic us about your artwork - Press check to share your work Australian Curriculum Achievement Standard - Students create texts that show how images support the meaning of the text. - Students make artworks in different forms to express their ideas, observations and imagination, using different techniques and processes.
