Near Doubles Train (Doubles Plus 1)

Student Instructions

Today you will be completing Near Doubles Train to practice the doubles plus one fact strategy. Your goal is to play for 5-10 minutes and complete as many trains as you can! You will need two sets of 10 connecting cubes that are different colors. (Total of 20 cubes) 1. Click add button to start. 2. Spin the spinner by pressing ▶️ play then pause pause button. Build a train of connecting cubes that is as long as the number you spun using one color. 3. Then build a second train in a different color that has one more cube than the first train you built. 4. Put your trains together. 5. Show your work by taking a photo photo, or using the highlighter highlighter, or using the digital connection cubes on the pages page. 6. Write the number sentence to match your cubes below your model using the pencil, pen, or label tool. 7. Say the entire fact aloud with the answer. 8. Work for 5-10 minutes. Duplicate the train pages page if needed. 9. On the last pages page, click the mic microphone and read each fact aloud with the answer. If you are not sure of the answer share your thinking. You may use any tool to show your work. 9. Click check the check to submit your work.
