Every sentence has a subject and a predicate. The subject tells who or what the sentence is about. The predicate contains the verb and tells about the subject. 1. Watch the video linked on slide 1 to learn about subjects and predicates. 2. Use to move the rectangles on slides 2 and 3 to identify the subject and predicate in each sentence. You can change the size of the rectangle to cover the entire subject and predicate. When you are finished, click the and submit your assignment.
Learning goals: Students will identify the subject and predicate in each sentence. This was adapted from Kristina Villirreal's activity.
