Comparing Objects

Student Instructions

Tap to play the video to the left to see how to complete your activity before you begin. 1. Tap the add button to start your activity. 2. Go to page 2 for a list of ideas of objects you can choose to compare. 3. Start your activity on page 1. Use the label tool to type which two objects you will be comparing. Place the titles at the top of the Venn Diagram to make your comparison list. 4. Next, use the photo tool to either take a picture of the object or use the photo to upload a picture you have saved to your computer. You may also use the drawing tools to draw your pictures. Place your pictures on the venn diagram. 5. Then, use the label tool to type properties of your objects. Remember: Color, shape, size, and texture words will help you to describe your objects. 6. In the center of your Venn Diagram, use the label tool to tell what the two objects may have in common. 7. Tap the check to submit your work.

Use this activity for your unit on matter. Students will be comparing types of matter using the properties of matter: shape, color, size, and texture.
