Student Instructions

Today we have a class zoom at _______ It will be an opportunity for you to see your classmates and for me to give you some feedback on your work so far and for you to ask questions. Please feel free to wear something festive! ***Note for Parents and carers*** To gain admittance to the call your device will need to be in the name of the child. If you enter the meeting ID and Password you will be prompted to name your device (see template for guidance). Please select join with audio to enable the microphone. Meeting ID: ______________ Passcode: _________________ If you know your device is already named correctly you can use the link: _____________________________________________________________________ Parents/Carers: Please discuss points 1-4 with your child to ensure that they also understand the rules: 1.Please ensure that your child understands that they are not allowed to take a photo/video of the call as this is something that requires permission. Any images of this nature must be deleted from your device. 2. Zooms must take place indoors (not in vehicles or in parks) and children must be seated with a wall behind them to prevent other members of the family from being seen. 3. No siblings should appear on screen as this is distracting and if they do appear, they will be asked to leave. 4. Please note that not all children (or adults) enjoy speaking on zoom and it is ok for them to participate by listening only. Please do help them with the controls, but do not put them under any unnecessary pressure to speak if they do not wish to. 5. Please also be aware that microphones are often unmuted to enable participation, and therefore any conversations that you are having with your children/other members of your household may be heard by the class and their families. Please remember that this zoom is for the children and therefore language must be appropriate at all times, as it would be in the classroom.
